Disney Transport
Disney Transport is the transportation network that serves Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. It is also where I learned to operate a bus professionally, build a disciplined mirror scan, manage passengers, and understand the standards expected in a large transportation operation.
My Experience Behind the Wheel
In 2015, I joined the operation as a part-time bus driver. The company guided me through the CDL permit, medical qualification, in-house training, skills test, route training, and the transition from trainee to a driver responsible for guests.
I drove transit-style equipment including Gillig and Nova buses. The training environment was strict, direct, and built around repeatable standards: mirror checks, speed control, space management, smooth braking, passenger awareness, and doing the same basic things correctly on every trip.

What the Training Gave Me
Mirror discipline
Mirror use became an active sequence tied to every movement, not an occasional glance when traffic felt close.
Speed discipline
The bus should enter turns, stops, loading zones, and congested areas at a speed that preserves observation and passenger comfort.
Professional consistency
Passengers should receive the same safe operation whether the route is easy, crowded, delayed, or near the end of a long shift.
What Disney Officially Says About Bus Service
Disney describes its Walt Disney World bus service as complimentary and air-conditioned transportation throughout the resort. The official guidance says buses run continuously and that almost anywhere a guest wants to go at Walt Disney World Resort is accessible by bus.

Why The Bus System Interests Me
The operational problem is interesting: buses are serving a private resort, but the network behaves like a large transit system with constantly shifting demand. Park opening, park closing, resort check-in patterns, weather, special events, and water park operations can all change what the bus system needs to do that day.
From a bus enthusiast perspective, I am especially interested in how Disney handles dispatching, guest information, accessibility, fleet presentation, and route changes without publishing a conventional public route map the way a municipal agency usually would.
Fleet Notes I Still Need To Verify
I am not listing fleet rankings, fleet counts, propulsion history, or model-by-model roster information until I can verify those details from a primary source, public records, or a reliable transportation reference. I would rather leave this section incomplete than publish bus-fan folklore as fact.
